Arcade Games Emulator supported by the original MAME 0.139.

To enjoy the games, simply copy or move your 0.139 MAME zipped ROMs under the '/ROMs/ArcadeEmu/roms' directory!

It's important to note that due to the large number of games available, some may run better than others, and some might not even run with MAME4droid (0.139u1). Therefore, we kindly ask you not to email us requesting assistance with specific games.

To help improve performance, we recommend activating GL mode, using lower quality sound or disabling it altogether. Additionally, disabling stick and button animations, as well as smooth scaling, can also enhance the overall gaming experience.

After installing the emulator, make sure to place your MAME-titled zipped ROMs in the /sdcard/ROMs/MAME4droid/roms folder.

MAME4droid (0.139u1) utilizes the '0.139' romset specifically.

• Virtual pad: Controls movement in pad, mouse, and analog control for all four players.
• Buttons B,X,A,Y,L,R: Corresponding buttons A,B,C,D,E,F.
• Button SELECT (Coin): Insert credits (UP+SELECT = 2P credits, RIGHT+SELECT = 3P credits, DOWN+SELECT = 4P credits).
• Button START: Start (UP+START = 2P start, RIGHT+START = 3P start, DOWN+START = 4P start).

MAME4droid (0.139u1) exclusively supports the '0.139' romset.

Make sure to copy the games into the roms/ folder.

ROM names should be MAME 0.139 compatible (August 2010).

NOTE: File and directory names in Linux are case-sensitive. Please use lowercase for all file and directory names.

The sound samples are necessary to achieve complete sound in some of the older games. They should be placed in the 'samples' directory, compressed into ZIP files. Both the directory and ZIP files should be named using lowercase.

MAME4droid is released under a dual-license (GPL / MAME license) of your choice. In addition to the GPL license, you also have extra rights granted by a special license exception, which allows you to link the MAME4iOS & MAME4droid GPL source with non-GPL MAME source.
